Long-time offshore operator 5Dimes has secured an online sports betting and casino licence in the Isle of Man.
In September, 5Dimes came to a settlement with the US Federal Government, freeing the company to explore legal, regulated gaming options in the US and internationally.
Although 5Dimes’ Isle of Man licence does not qualify it for US regulated gaming markets, the brand can now conduct legal and regulated gaming activities in full compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Laura Varela, 5Dimes Sportsbook board member, said: “This licensure is an exciting milestone for the 5Dimes brand.
«The Isle of Man is a Tier-1 jurisdiction, known for its advanced approach to gambling and e-gaming legislation and its exceptional reputation in the international gaming community.
«The Isle of Man sets high standards for its gaming operators and players, and we look forward to upholding the same level of principles and innovation with the launch of 5Dimes.”
5Dimes will create a management team base in the Isle of Man, having been established in San Jose, Costa Rica.
The operator’s first casino brand launched in November 1996, allowing it to build a massive following of players while operating offshore.
